Paul began DJ’ing in 2001, becoming a semi-professional in 2003 with his first handful of paying gigs, in addition to a guest spot on Pittsburgh public radio 91.3 WYEP’s show The Dubmission.
In order to facilitate and maintain a higher dance music standard in Pittsburgh, Paul was required to do more than just DJ.
In 2005 he co-founded Humanaut, a professional events production and DJ crew. This provided for consistent events series, one-off parties, residencies, and good music throughout both the DIY and night club communities in Pittsburgh.
In late 2009, Paul was asked to be a founding board member and curator for the creative collective and annual festival, VIA. Armed with an iron will and coffee addiction, Paul assisted in curating a yearly music and new media festival, various additional satellite events, and VIA’s own venue, 6119.
2010 saw the creation of a weekly online radio show, Ultrawizardsword. Founded by producer / DJ Relative Q, Paul serves as a co-host and resident DJ, inviting and testing the world’s best and not so best DJ’s mettle one week at a time.
2012: Alongside a small team of fellow Pittsburgh event coordinators, Paul helped found Hot Mass: an independent weekly after hours event series. Igniting Pittsburgh’s late night dance scene, Hot Mass quickly became a haven for any dedicated music fan willing to trade sleep for sweat.
2013: Paul answered an unknown call, and left Pittsburgh to explore the great beyond. He currently resides in Denver, CO, actively DJing and contributing where he can to the dance music community at large.
