Communikey Festival kicks off next Wednesday, April 25th! Many of the artists and festival goers who are going to attend the fifth edition of CMKY will doubtless be coming to Boulder for the first time, and we’ve put together some handy pointers to help keep people from getting lost on their way from the airport to our fair city.

Getting To Boulder

Boulder’s airport is Denver International Airport (calling code DEN). From there, it’s about an hour’s drive to downtown Boulder. Our public transportation options are extremely affordable and efficient, but shuttles or taxis are also available. We recommend checking out the offerings from RTD Denver and Super Shuttle; but if you want to rent a car, you can find some simple directions here.

Hotels

Once you get to Boulder, there are plenty of hotel options within the downtown area. Almost all of them are within walking distance to most CMKY Festival venues. A simple Google search will help you find what you’re looking for, but we have partnered with the Boulderado – a historic hotel situation at 13th and Spruce – to provide rate discounts for festival attendees. These reduced prices are available from 4/24 – 4/29. Book your stay by calling the Boulderado during normal business hours (remember, we’re on MST here) and using Group #10600 when making your reservation.

We also have a partnership with the Boulder University Inn for those who are partying on a budget, with rooms starting from $65/day. Just say you’re with the CMKY party when you called to book your stay.

For more information, check out the Tourism section of our website. We also have more posts coming over the next few days that will provide details on our bike program – which is being offered in conjunction with Boulder B-Cycle – and other useful information for helping CMKY participants make the most of their visit.

Here’s to a great festival! Looking forward to seeing everyone very soon.
