#CMKY2015: Getting Around Town

Posted: April 15, 2015

Whether you’re coming in from out of town or have lived in Boulder your entire life, Festival participants should use the #CMKY2015 guide to get around town this weekend!

Boulder B-Cycle

The easiest way to navigate Boulder is by bike. This is a FACT. But don’t take our word for it, check out a Boulder B-Cycle bike and cruise on into one of the city’s capacious bike lanes to see why Boulder consistently ranks among the most bike-friendly cities. If you’re starting at eTown Hall — our #CMKY2015 headquarters — just head west on Spruce and take a left on 15th street to find the closest B-cycle station. Use the code COMMUNIKEY15 for a $10, 7-day membership. More than enough to help jump from venue to venue, and back to your spot!

Here’s another insider tip: if you’re trying to make to the free, first-come, first-served Solar Mythologies AV Showcase at the Atlas Black Box featuring Neel and Clinker, don’t mess with parking — because there is none on campus — and use the 17th Street bike route to get to the show. Be sure to leave yourself a little extra time to check out the bridge over Boulder Creek, though. A good photo op or two can be found on the way there.

Getting To Apex + The Studio (Boulder)

If you’re heading out for Saturday night’s Pagan Metalwork after-hours at Apex Movement, do the smart thing and leave the car keys at home. Why risk getting pulled over when you can split an Uber with a friend? For an optimal party experience, ditch the car keys, download the app and don’t even worry about getting yourself home.

Rec Stores

It’s true what they say, folks: recreational marijuana is legal in Colorado. Terrapin Care Station is the official dispensary of #CMKY2015, so check out their store on the corner of Folsom and Pearl Streets to get some of the best buds in all of Boulder County. But FYI: keep it inside. It is not legal to smoke in public! Keep that in mind before sparking up at the Park Party on Sunday. Oh, and if you’re planning to indulge in any edibles, please consult your bud tender for the appropriate dose.
